"Dhat Mistah Show" was brought to you today by "Google AdSense","Palm Beach Club", and "Metro-Muzik the Union." Today is somewhat serious as my throbbing temples refuse to allow humor in my thought. Eye gazed into the mind of a madman today and wondered to myself, "why not re-enact biting off a bats head while on stage?"
The point of a concert has only three sides to it, revenue, performance,respect! Then the question came about of what is good showmanship? Toays artist without a huge budgets relies on the song to carry them thru and on average that is the performance. A multiplatinum artist has some dancers and a set but other than that no much creativity involved other than hoping swagg is all that is required. In ye olden year a performance had dedicated routine, rapport, and perfection but that day has passed as now adays bragging is the only showmanship in use at this time.
"Showmanship" is the balance of energy, performance, and interraction with the mind and experience of the intended audience. All eyes on me is good but not without wisdom. The new artist to take over the game again will study the greats by reviewing their routines, their mission statements, the sign of the times, and then incorporate all those things into the new millenium of social networking applications and give a show over the endless and virtual world wide web. Then when their true concert time is right/reyet he/she will then give a true and live performance that is unexpected of them entirely to ensure the paying fans are entertained.
